Reflections on 2008/2009 -- What a great season, starting with a totally new management team the buzz around the club changed, new players came in, team spirit got better and better and disciplines improved. For the first team to finish runners up in West Cheshire 1 was a tremendous achievement and the league winners West Kirby could not beat us either at home or away. The only slight disappointment was not winning the Chester Senior Cup, we just did not turn up on the day and deservedly lost to Chester Nomads. Our reserve team is now far more settled than it has ever been and that is thanks to the management team. They beat Ashville Reserves 3-0 in the final of The West Cheshire Shield to round off a fabulous season for the club.
My thanks to the management team of Dave Wright and Dave Ferneyhough for the first team and Ian Jones and Shaun Lynch for the reserves. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the committee who have worked tirelessly to play their part in our success.
We are still hoping to continue our progress as a club and invite anybody who wants to be part of our club to make contact.
We are also still seeking a major sponsor for football strips, tracksuits, balls etc and anybody can put up an advertising board on our perimeter fence for a small "one off" fee just get in touch.
