THE HISTORY OF UPTON AAFC

Founded in 1964, joining the Chester & District League.

Progressed through the divisions reaching the Premier League in 1969.

Premier Division Champions in 1972/73.

Between 1973 – 1985 the club won three successive premiership titles and also league and cup doubles.

In 1985 applied for and was invited to join the West Cheshire League.

1985 – 89 The club won the Chester Senior Cup for five successive seasons.

1999-2000 Upton AAFC Reserves applied for and were invited to join the West Cheshire League.

All home games for both the first team and the reserves are played at the Cheshire County Sports and Social Club.

2005 The club won the Chester senior Cup

2002 – 2006 Between these years major ground improvements have been made including, a new clubhouse, refurbishment of Pavilion, pitch drainage and landscaping. The cost of all these projects has been approx. £1.2million.

2005 – 2006 Promoted as Champions from West Cheshire Division 2 to West Cheshire Division 1. Winners of the Chester Senior Cup for the second consecutive year.

2006 – 2007 Finished in top half of the West Cheshire Division 1 in our first season. At time of going to print again reached the final of the Chester Senior Cup. Now the top amateur team in Chester.

CHESHIRE COUNTY SPORTS AND SOCIAL CLUB

Privately owned club with 28 year lease

The club is managed by a board of eleven Directors

It is the largest  multi - Sports Complex of its kind in Cheshire.

Indoor and outdoor facilities including grass, astro and all weather surfaces.

Sports include: Football,( mens, youth and ladies) hockey,(mens,youth and ladies) cricket, archery, tennis, basketball, netball, volleyball, squash, table tennis, lacrosse, badminton, snooker & billiards.

Outdoor sports facilities are used for both County and National events and finals.

More than 5,000 people per week use/visit the outdoor facilities.

New clubhouse opening in 2006 at cost in excess of one million pounds.

What are we looking for?

Sponsors advertising boards are now being put in place.

Double sided advertising boards (size approx 8ft x 3ft) to be supplied by the advertiser/sponsor.

Our justification

It is the largest Sports & Social Club in Cheshire.

It has over 5,000 players/users/spectators per week.

Advertising boards will be sited around the West Cheshire football pitch wherever you choose.

This equates to more than  A QUARTER OF A MILLION PEOPLE per year.

This is more than watch Chester City who play in 2^nd Division of the Football League.

This is more than watch Vauxhall Motors who play in the Unibond Premier League.
